WHY THIS PROGRAM MATTERS

Heart Health Needs Emotional Presence,
Not Only Information

A cardiac diagnosis is not only a medical event. It is also an emotional, psychological and relational turning point for patients and the people who care for them.

01

Fear & Uncertainty After Diagnosis

Support patients as they navigate fear of recurrence, anxiety, sudden lifestyle change and treatment adjustment.

02

Caregiver & Family Resilience

Help caregivers manage vigilance, emotional overload, family responsibility and honest, compassionate communication.

03

Renewed Purpose & Lifestyle Confidence

Coach people to rebuild identity, courage and a sustainable, meaningful life after a cardiac event.

ETHICAL BOUNDARY

Transformational Coaching, Not Medical Treatment

UCF Psycho-Cardiology Coach Certification prepares participants for supportive, non-clinical coaching. It does not train participants to diagnose, treat, prescribe, provide therapy, or replace cardiology, medical or psychological care.

Certified coaches are trained to support cardiac patients and caregivers as they process fear, adjust to lifestyle change and rebuild a sense of purpose and confidence  always working alongside, not in place of, medical care.

UCF Positioning

This program is designed to complement the cardiac care ecosystem by supporting emotional resilience, communication, lifestyle adherence and human transformation for patients and caregivers.

UCF METHODOLOY

LADDER Framework for Psycho-Cardiology Coaching

The LADDER framework helps coaches listen deeply, analyze emotional patterns, support conscious action, dismantle limiting responses, create new inner experience and move toward meaningful results.

L — Listen

Listen to fear, anxiety, family concern and the unspoken emotional experience of a cardiac diagnosis.

D — Dismantle

Dismantle fear-based narratives, denial, guilt and limiting identity patterns tied to heart health.

A — Analyze

Understand emotional triggers, coping patterns, identity shifts and caregiver stress.

E — Experience

Support a new experience of courage, calm, connection and renewed purpose after a cardiac event.

D — Do

Create small practices for emotional regulation, communication, lifestyle consistency and grounding.

R — Result

Create visible shifts in emotional resilience, family communication, recovery confidence and meaning.
